Sue Stanford

Sue Stanford has been writing poetry for over ten years. Her work has appeared in anthologies, including Best Australian Poems twice, literary and online journals in Australia and overseas. Her first collection, Opal, was published by Flat Chat Press in 2006. Sue lived in Japan for almost 15 years and it was there she became interested in haiku. She is enrolled in a PhD at Monash University on the topic of "English Language Haiku: the translation of a tradition". Sue was born in London but became an Australian citizen some years ago.
